ok - in that last post there is a picture of Jack - I totally was not letting him run around and play with a metal spear used for roasting marshmallows.with 2 sharp prongs.  No way, I would never let him do that...

What a beautiful day! Some friends came over today and we got outside for awhile to play. The kids had a great time! Emma was miss bossy though (not sure where she gets that from;o) she was taking her friend Ava by the hand and telling her what to do and they could only do what Emma wanted! The last picture is of Ava trying to escape from her! Em had to wear her sunglasses the whole time - if she's gonna play in the dirt she may as well look cute - right?! Jack is loving no school. He just wants to stay home and play and not go anywhere. I don't blame him, it is so nice just to be home and play with his toys and his Wii. Since he is in school and typically we are so busy on the weekends he doesn't get too much time to just veg out. Hope you all are having a great week!

Easter with Grandpa and Grandma Nancy

Last weekend Dave and Nancy came and stayed with us. We had a great time as usual - thanks guys! They brought the kids their Easter baskets - they loved them. Of course they did, they like to get presents just like their mom! Emma opened up a gift bag and pulled out the receipt and said "yeah, a reesa!!!". She was so excited to get a receipt! She got an outfit and kept laying it out and re folding it, she also got some baby doll clothes. She has changed and fed her baby at least 5000 times since Saturday! Jack was so excited he got a binder for all of his Pokeman cards. Now we can sit for what seems like forever and look at all his cards with him. Great. Jack had another great report card for last quarter. We are so proud of him. He got I think 7 marks that are above where he should be by the end of this year. And he is already reading above the level expected. So to reward him we took him to the Wal Marts and let hime pick something out. What a painful pleasurable night. He chose a Wii game which I am about ready to trash. While it does keep him out of my hair busy, he proceeds to give a play by play of EVERY detail in the game. I see his mouth moving but all I hear is blah, blah, blah... In other news, wonderful, organized mom that I am - I didn't realize Jack got out of school an hour early last Friday.until he walked through the front door.while I was on the phone for an hour.he walked home from the bus stop all by himself.with the biggest smile I have ever seen.

Nikon love and Shrek...

I loooove my new camera!!! I have taken a ton of pictures since I got my new camera , I only know how to use the auto settings so far! It takes such great pictures. Now I just wish I had better photography skills...Oh well... Um Shrek Derek, thanks for getting me this awesome camera. I promise to take lots of pictures - just maybe not so many of you. You're kinda scary.

Lard

Um, I hate her. I'm pretty sure she has 3 kids too. I only have 2. Maybe that is what I need to get this old bod in shape, another kid. Yes, I'm sure that is it. I had the great colin blow out of 2010 stomach flu last night so I'm sure I am a few pounds closer to my goal. Eww, gross. While my hubs was eating at Johnnie's Italian Steakhouse for "work". Whatever. He deserved a night away from the kids out. He just got me a new digital SLR camera! I am so excited. But I need to try to figure out how to use it first! I will try to post a few pics later today. Have a great one!

Michigan

 
A couple of weeks ago we went to Michigan, where we moved from 4 years ago (I can't believe we have lived here 4 years) and visited our friends Jason and Michelle and their little girl Makayla. We had such a great time! I miss Michelle so much, it was great to spend time with them. We also got to spend some time with some other friends we have been missing too. Derek and I have really missed all the good food that is available there - not a whole lot of different kinds of foods here - so we made a list of things we wanted to eat while we were there (I know, get a life - right?!) and we got everything on our list - plus some great meals from Jason and Michelle. And spending time with Michelle was so fun! We discovered the Bare Essentials store - OMG!!! We went there twice for makeovers! and they even called me a few days ago to see how I liked my stuff! Good thing we don't live near that store - I could live there. The kids were so good for the looong ride too ;o) Can't wait to go back...

In other news Hazel got spade yesterday. I picked her up this morning and she is doing well. She needs to eat though her tummy is growling like crazy!! I'm sure she will back to her usual bratty self in no time...
