first haicut a piggies

Emma got her first haircut last week. She was a good girl, of course it was quick since she still doesn't have too much hair! Her mullet looks much better now though! I also painted her toenails. She is so proud of them - she just looks at them and says "pretty"! She likes to show them to everyone too. Maybe she will be a girlie girl? I can hope ;o) Mommy got a haircut today - from the looks of the picture with me I was looong overdue!

the ocean

Here are pictures of us on the beach. The weather was nice, but it could have been just a tad warmer, the water was chilly! There aren't too many pictures of me, that's the way I like it! Although Derek did get a little excited with the camera when I was bending over collecting seashells- those pictures shall be destroyed ;o) The kids liked playing on the beach, one day I buried Jack in the sand and he fell asleep! The water really was too chilly to be in a lot but we got a lot of shells and at night the guys would take the kids down to the water to look for crabs, they never found any thankfully, Jack would have wanted to keep one as a pet for sure!

our condo and pool

Here are some pics of our condo and pool. We were there over Easter so the Easter Bunny came and brought the kids Easter baskets there. The pic of Emma in the cabinet - she put her toys in there and would go in the cabinet and play! Jack really liked the pool. It was the kind where you can walk out into it, I am so glad because it sure helped with Emma, I think she would have just jumped in!

Finally!!

Okay, so I have been a bad blogger - sorry! I will try to post as much as I can today but my little princess is in her crib yelling "mommy" instead of taking a much needed nap! We had such a great vacation. The kids had fun on the beach and our condo had a great pool so they spent a lot of time there too. Here are some pictures of the Alligator farm we visited. It was really neat and Jack got to hold a baby alligator (it's mouth was taped shut). He thought that was so cool. The day we left to go on vacation I had the stomach flu, it was a long day in the car! We went with our friends Amy and David and David's daughter Maddie. Jack rode the whole way with them so we just had little miss antsy. Luckily as the day went on I started feeling better, it took a couple of days for me to feel 100% though. Emma was better in the car than I thought she would be, she liked watching videos. Our condo was so nice, it was bright and clean and looked right out onto the ocean.

vacation

We're on vacation in Gulf Shores Alabama - so much fun! We came with our friends David and Amy and their daughter Maddie. Our condo is right on the ocean. The kids are having a great time. I will post more when I can - right now Emma is napping so I have a break from the sun and sand for a little while ;o)

where we hang

Today we had an Easter egg hunt for the kids in our neighborhood. A few of us have kids the same age so we got them all together today. They had such a great time playing together, which explains how I have time to update my blog today. My kids are so pooped they came right home and are napping! We are going to Gulf Shores Alabama for vacation this week, for 10 days! We can.not.wait!!! This will be the kids' first trip to the ocean. I will try to blog while on vacation to keep you all updated. I know you will all want to see a picture of little miss Emma in her bikini - she only has 6 swimsuits, is that enough? :o) Jack is so excited. Please say a little prayer for us, it is a 14 hour drive. and Emma is quite active. and Jack never stops talking. You get my point, right? Time to get out the Benadryl, I'm just sayin'...

Easter egg hunt

Saturday we went to an Easter egg hunt in Peoria with Darcey and Christie, the kiddos had a great time. Emma reluctantly sat with the Easter bunny but Jack would have nothing to do with him. Emma fell asleep in the van after the hunt - see the chocolate on her face? How sweet! Then afterwards we went out to lunch and then we celebrated Dave's birthday Saturday night. Happy birthday Grandpa - sorry we didn't get any pics!

Easter program

Last week was Jack's Easter program at school - his last program in preschool. It was cute. The kids said the Lord's Prayer and he said the whole thing! Chris and Christie came to the program and spent the day with the kids. I'm so glad we live close enough now that they can come for all the kids activities.
